What I love most about summer evening drives is the moment the day finally lets go.
– The heat breaks.
– – The air cools just enough.
– – – The wind slows down.
The roads get quieter.
I can hear the engine more clearly then. Music fills the cabin while headlights drift past in soft streaks of color. The city starts to feel less crowded. Less hurried. Like everyone has finally exhaled.
These nights are never really planned.
I let the road decide where we end up. I try not to overthink it. No real destination. No shot list. Just movement, light, and instinct.
– – – Most nights, Veronica takes the lead. – – –
She picks the pace. The mood. The direction. I just listen.
This project became less about photographing a car and more about documenting a feeling — those slow summer nights where time softens around the edges and the ordinary world starts to glow a little differently.
– The reflections.– – The neon.
– – – The dashboard light.
The sound of tires against warm pavement.
Small moments that disappear quickly if you aren’t paying attention.
