Dr. Who Girls!

So, I finally caught up with Dr. Who … It took me close to 6 months of watching a half episode per day at lunch, but I MADE IT! Here are a few of my thoughts about each of his companions, because honestly, it was fun to find the pictures.

Rose Tyler = Billie Piper

I loved the moments when Rose and The Doctor (David Tennant) burst from the Tardis with big grins on their faces at the beggining of each episide… Tenant is my favorite Doctor and I don’t think it would be legal to have this opinion and not have a soft spot in your heart for Rose.

Martha Jones = Freema Agyeman

I love Martha because she is super-smart, really badass and (yeah, I am going to say it) crazy hot… I love the episode when Martha becomes an underground revolutionary fighting for the Doctor (against The Master).

Donna Noble = Catherine Tate

In a strange twist, the most annoying companion has a LOT of the best story lines… These episodes were great because David Tennant was GREAT and Catherine Tate tones down the annoying. I nearly stopped watching when I found out that she was going to be a full time character and I am really happy I didn’t!

Amy pond = Karen Gillan

Although her and Rory hung on the show a bit longer than I would have liked, she was still a great character with great story lines and, possibly above all else, SHE HAS THE HAIR OF AN ANGEL! … I really liked the child actrress that played Amy as well. Really well done.

River Song = Alex Kingston

Not a huge fan of the actress, not a huge fan of the charater, not a huge fan… I liked what they TRIED to do with this, but I just felt like it fell flat.

Clara Oswald = Jenna-Louise Coleman

Although her story arc is just getting started, I like the fact that they have not given a whole lot of attention to the “romance” stuff that they normally try to address when a new companion joins the crew … The final episode of season 7 made her character’s first episide much more memorable to me. Somthing that is rare when it was like 15 shows ago.

The next couple of characters appear in season 7 and I think they are really-super-pretty… I mention them here because they have nice cheek bones and I bet they really like LEGO’s.
