When I was a kid there was nothing that I looked forward to more that “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer”. Now that I have a TIVO, I plan on recording it and watching it approximately 10,000 times this holiday season.

For some reason it makes me feel like I am 6 again… starring at the tree till the lights get blurry and start to blend together into an explosion of color.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night to go to the bathroom. On the way back to bed I had the thought… “What the HELL does ‘Heavens to murgatroid’ mean?”… I think that the place to start is to decide what a “murgatroid” is, and then you can try to relate it to “heavens”. Hmmmm…

Thanksgiving was awesome. We ate our asses off, had three different sets of company, played Frisbee, dominated at trivial pursuit and enjoyed the weather… I think the fact that I had such a fun time is making me a bit uncomfortable in day-to-day life. On one hand, all I want to do is sit around, on the other, I get bored at the drop of a hat. I am a walking oxymoron… or maybe just a moron.

OK… So this is the first posting in a while. I am back on the wagon.

Slept with the windows open last night for the first time in quite a while… It is just nice to not have to live on the AC all the time. I guess that this is the time of year that people really enjoy living in Florida.

Having satelite TV is mindblowing… Especially since I no longer have a computer. It has really helped ease my tinkering habit…

I Am The Ultimate

Have to admit that I am pretty stoked about the three day work week this week. I think that the Thanksgiving holiday is going to rock… We are planning on having a huge ultimate frisbee game in the park on Friday… If we can dodge the soccer plaing Mexicans, I think that it will be a pretty fun time.

This reminds me… I wanted to declare myself as the greatest ultimate frisbee player of all time. Alright, I am not the fastest runner on the planet, but since I have been working out a bit, I am sure that I will be able to out-hustle the other players, and my throwing ability is second to none. It is just my luck that there is no professional league… I could be a millionaire… For those of you that have played the game with me, feel free to discuss one play or moment that I blew your mind on the UF field… Ryan for example, you could talk about the time that we were on the same team and I gave you the “go deep” signal… You could talk about the moment that the disc sailed perfectly over the defenders outstretched arms and you caught it in stride for a perfect game winning goal… Jamie, you could talk about the time that I all-out dove to catch a go-ahead goal as the snow began to fall in Chicago… SPECTACULAR!!!… Man, there are just so many moments…

Happy Birthday to my brother, Jeff. He turned the big 30 yesterday… How many people get to spend their 30th in Hawaii? Lucky SOB.

Misc…

Watched the Pink Panther cartoon the other day… This is the most underrated cartoon of all time. That non-talking cat is freaking hilarious and the inspector cracks my ass up.

Well, another crazy-ass week under my belt. What have I learned? Well, I am not sure that I have learned anything… I mean sure, if I looked deep enough, I could find something.

I have felt so thirsty for something lately, but I can not figure out what it is. Not to sound like a Jedi, but it is elusive, like what I want is just out of reach… I will keep you posted.

We let Jack outside at the new place for the first time last night. It is like wild kingdom around there… Every one of our neighbors has a dog, and there is this stray cat that Carrie calls Maddux. He looks a lot tougher than Jack, and I am sure that he could hand him his ass in a fight… When it comes down to it, my cat is all show and no go.
