Wild couple of weeks

Wild couple of weeks

I can’t remember the last time I was this unbelievably busy… The process of working daily, dating, freelancing and (most notably) buying a house is exhausting. Over the last week I have learned so much that at times I think my brain might overflow with new information and experiences. WHEW!

Yeah, I am really excited about the house buying thing. It has been my dream for about as long as I can remember to have my own place. Sure, the counter offer after the inspections is going in today and I have no idea what is going to happen. Honestly, this house could fall though, this deal could not happen (I have thought it was not going to happen about 3 times a day since I put in the offer), BUT… I am resigned to the fact that that could happen with this house, I want it, but the “business” stuff needs to be right… All this grown-up stuff is pretty fun actually! Good bye rainbows and moon-beams!!!

Anyway, the house is a “in desperate need of modernizing” 3 bedroom, 2 bath in the very charming area of Prairie Village. The walls need to be stripped of wall paper and painted, the floors will need to be stripped of the worn out carpet to reveal the BEAUTIFUL wood floor underneath, the kitchen needs a complete overhaul, the bathrooms need a little bit of work, and there are a couple of basement “issues” that we have had looked at… I know that sounds terrible to you, but it is EXACTLY what I was looking for at the beginning of my search. The right amount of work, for the right price, in the right neighborhood… Cross your fingers for me.

I will try to keep you updated – So busy I forgot I had a blog.
