The extra sense

The extra sense

So it is time for me to come clean about something… Dad, I found your Playboy’s and I looked at them.

As a matter of fact, if you are the father of a teenage boy and you are reading this, the chances that your son has found your old Playboy’s is 98%. Young men are born with an extra sense on top of the standard sight, sound, touch, taste and smell that is called “find Dad’s dusty old Playboy’s”…

Put them in the attic, in your bedside table, your car, under your bed, between the mattresses, in a box at the top of the old closet that no one looks in or nestled into some crack in the foundation just big enough for a magazine to fit in at the most remote corner of the basement, trust me, they will be found… Hell, you could encase them in a cement tomb, bury them in the back yard twelve feet down and hire a Green Beret to guard them 24 hours a day… a teenage boy will find a way… All of my male friends found a way… ALL OF THEM!!!

Shit, I was not even looking for them and found them. I was just snooping around and hit the jackpot… I can’t remember what I was looking for, but I am now certain that my extra sense had taken control of me… It was my destiny.

I have been burning discs for the Lovewell show “Carry On”… This is a shit job, but semi-rewarding at the same time.

So it has come to my attention that the BLOG has been a bit of a downer lately… I will try to have only one depressing entry per week from now on.

Went to Target and had to get a picture in the Darth Vader mask… As Halloween approaches, I feel like all I want to do is run straight to the costume section like I did when I was small.

Heard this quote the other day… “The universe may not play fair but at least it’s got one hell of a sense of humor…”

I have been reading about the big election in Sweden today… Looks like the Social Democrats have been edged out after having power for most of the last 70 years.

I am not sure how my Swedish friends were voting or if they are celebrating or sad…

If they are sad, I hope that they are not as sad as I was the day that “W” was re-elected here… That was the most embarrassing day to be an American in my lifetime.
