My Last Day

Townsend Communications has been a wonderful place to hang my hat for the last two and a half years. It’s a really hard thing to say a meaningful goodbye without falling into the “total pretentiousness” or “douchey ” trap… Well, I guess I should say that as excited as I am for my new position at DST (and I am REALLY EXCITED), I am equally sad to leave the best job I have ever had and some of the best friends I have ever made at a job… Townsend cured me of a professionally tough time in my life. A time when I was beginning to doubt WHAT I was doing, WHY I was doing it and WHO I should be doing it FOR.

I was FINALLY allowed to spread my wings and DO what I thought would be good for a business. I was allowed to take ownership of the projects I was working on, to fight for my creativity and to see projects get executed in the way I thought they should be done… and I am proud as hell of the results. Townsend Communications, MyMajors.com, KCstudio.org and creativeoutlook.com are better because I was here. I left my mark and it feels really good as I look back at an amazing time in my life.
