Art Wednesday
My newest adventure in the art world is a russian painter named Marc Chagall. The above piece is titled “The Painter: To the Moon”, a true representation of his poetic style of painting. His usage of color and composition have been very inspirational to me.

Holly is officially on the front of an On-Card. For those of you who do not know what On-Card is… It is a new direct mail marketing concept, and also my day job. Anyway, I found her picture on this stock photo site and used it for the design. The people in my office are typically very judgmental of the images used on the cards so I wanted to see what they had to say about someone I knew… They really liked the image. We bought it and used it… Pretty funny huh?
We sent out about 5,000 of these cards yesterday, each with a free phone card attached… I hope you don’t screw it up Holly!

So I want to prove that this “Art Wednesday” stuff is doing me some good… This is a logo that I designed recently for “University School theatre”… You can see some of the influences that the “Art Wednesday” artists had on this project. All and all, I think that it looks pretty good… It at least shows that I am starting to push myself and my art a bit, which is important.
