I wonder what is happening inside of that red barn?

Whenever I really love something I have the urge to give it a name/nickname… As I was picking up this evening I looked at my blazer and thought of all of the good times I have have had with it and instantly started trying to think up a good name for it… I have a mini pillow that I sleep with every night named Norman and I have named every computer I have ever owned… The other day I had the urge to name my Converse All-Stars.

As I started to try to get to the bottom of this I realized that deep down inside of me I think that if I were these items, I would want the kind of love that only a name or nickname can bring… I associate it with affection. I am so freaking strange I can not even stand it sometimes.

George Winston is a composer/piano player that I have really been into listening to lately. I have one of his CD’s and an old LP from the 80’s called “December”… It has been a really nice introduction to the holiday music that will dominate my ears in about a week and a half.
