Jamie, Ryan and I decided to catch up on the “Bourne” movies this week. We had never seen them and I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining they were… Sure, they are not the greatest movies in the world, but I think that they are pretty well done “fun” movies to watch.

The other advantage is that the action is BIG, but (for the most part) believable… I think that my Dad would really like these movies.

Anyone else watching “The Bronx is Burning” on ESPN? The special effects are TERRIBLE, but I seem to keep watching every week… What is wrong with me?

Another show that I have been REALLY into lately is BIG LOVE… This is a really great show with some A+ acting and a nice balance of fun/plot points… I love all three of the main characters wife’s.

Did anyone watch the show “The Loop” on Fox? I hope it comes back. Plus, it was set in Chicago, which is cool.

I have been watching reruns of Cheers… I have said it before, but this is one of the funniest shows of all time.

Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby have a really great bluegrass album out… LOVE IT. If you have ears, you will like this album.

Lance introduced me to Brett Dennen this week and I have not been able to stop listening to it. Thanks Lancer.

Ryan Adams has a new album that is pretty good.

Not a big fan of the semi-new Fountains of Wayne album.

I downloaded the entire collection of Pink Floyd last weekend… I am going to process an album or two per month. First up? Animals (Which I think is the album that J Hammond said was his favorite)… Love it after about 4 listens through.

Andrew Bird is a mellow, calm voice… I will listen to him when it get colder outside. 78 will like this music.

Check out Rufus Wainwright’s new album. The song “Going To A Town” is fantastic.

Wilco – Sky Blue Sky
Arcade Fire – Neon Bible
The Weepies – Say I Am You
Radiohead – OK Computer
Kings Of Leon – Because Of The Times
The Avett Brothers – Emotionalism
Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon (“The Wall” was the album of the winter)

Cubs have a BIG four game series with the Cardinals from St. Louis… Please baseball God, be good to me!

I tried to draw a self portrait the other night… It was pretty bad.

Saw the Bourne movie last night – it was great! Watched the first one again today. Although the cinematography was a bit to shaky for me.
