Army Of Darkness

This afternoon I had just enough time to squeeze in a viewing of Army of Darkness. This early 90’s sci-fi flick has a loyal cult following for good reason! Light and fun, with amazing special effects for its time, A.O.D. was a GREAT Sunday afternoon watch.

Truly reminiscent of my childhood (although this was my first full viewing), this movie is a great reminder of the kinds of purely fun movies that Hollywood used to be unafraid to make. A relatively simple plot, with fun characters, goofy (in a fun way) dialogue, great action sequences, some innovative camera work and just enough meat on the bones to feel satisfied.
